MATF Hackathon 2022 is a 24-hour programming competition that aims for young and enthusiastic teams to design and develop a software solution on a given topic in a short time.
Teams of 3 or 4 members who pass the qualifications will have the opportunity to compete in the finals where they will be able to use their knowledge, skills, creativity, and teamwork in a real environment and on a real problem, thus gaining very important experiences that will surely mean further professional life. In addition, the teams will have the support and assistance of IT experts with many years of experience in their fields, who will use their knowledge, through consultations to help competitors improve their solutions during the MATF Hackathon. Competitors can use technologies of their choice as long as that technology can meet the requirements of a given task.
This year's theme is a secret for now, and the theme is set by IGT as the main sponsor of this year's MATF Hackathon.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The MATF hackathon is open to all students and high school students who are interested in programming, as well as developers with a maximum of one year of experience. Competitors apply in teams of 3 or 4 members. Each member must apply separately. Competitors do not have to be from the same faculty (or the same high school). Also, competitors who do not have their teams can apply individually, so SUM members will join individual competitors into teams.
The competition days will consist of three parts: the introductory part, the competition part and the final part. In the introductory part, the contestants will be introduced to the sponsors of the competition, the jury and will receive precise information on the topic and what is expected of them. The competition part lasts 24 hours and during that period the competitors develop their solution, as well as the presentation of their solution. Each team will have two consultations with the jury during the competition lasting 10-15 minutes. In the final part, the contestants present their solutions to the jury, other contestants and all interested observers. After the presentations, the jury will make a decision on the winners of the competition within an hour.
We have provided valuable prizes for the best competitors!
1st place - a prize worth 100,000 dinars
2nd place - a prize worth 60,000 dinars
3rd place - a prize worth 40,000 dinars

After completion of applications, the areas of programming from which the subject will be assigned will be known. The subject of the hackathon will be known only on the day of the competition. The task will be adapted to the material being processed at the faculties and the time that the competitors have at their disposal.
